About us

We’re a progressive, start-up-turned-scale-up building the future of finance, backed by the power and scale of Bitcoin technology, and we’re looking to bring in a visionary 3D artist to join our Design team.

Metrocapitalpro is progressing into exciting new areas within the fintech industry, and were looking to bring on board someone who can sculpt and create stylised art assets and 3D characters for use within our mobile application, media animations and marketing material.

About you

This temporary role will be responsible for aiding the Design team with the pipeline of 3D character creation and must be able to follow guidelines to sculpt and model 3D characters, in line withMetrocapitalpro’ agreed art style and visual brand identity.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in hard surface and organic character sculpting and optimisation, as well as the ability to demonstrate character sculpting with likeness from reference material.

You’ll need to have the following practical prerequisites and industry experience as outlined below:

  • Demonstrable skills of sculpting characters based on reference
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy for realistic & stylistic characters
  • Strong understanding of retopology, edgeflow & optimisation
  • Hard Surface and Organic Sculpting/Modelling
  • Working knowledge of PBR/NPR materials
  • Good knowledge of implementing clean UVs
  • Good understanding of production workflows for characters and assets
  • Good understanding of baking textures, processing maps and physically based rendering
  • Strong understanding of lighting principles

Naturally, as we’re a Bitcoin-focused business, it would be great for you to have at least a basic understanding of the technology, but it’s not a necessity!

The Nitty-Gritty

Now we’re down to the granular detail! If you have the below-outlined skills and experience then we want to hear from you:

  • Ensure all characters and assets are optimised for animation with potential use in-game engines and other 3D DCC applications
  • Optimising clean retopology, edge flow and UV’s
  • Adhere to technical restrictions including poly count and texture sizes
  • High Poly - Low Poly Banking Workflow
  • Develop shaders and hand-painted textures, including PBR/NPR workflows

Competitive Salary

Equivalent remuneration to £30k per annum, paid monthly.
